Frequently Asked Questions
- I have installed the phone companion app, but the watchface doesn't show up on the watch
If you are running Android Wear 2:
In Android Wear 2.0, when installing the companion application on the phone it doesn't automatically get installed on the watch. You will get a notification on the watch from where you can install the watchface. If you accidently dismiss this notification, the watchface will be in the watch Play Store in the Apps that you have used section.
If you are running Android Wear 1.x:
Sometimes it will take a while before the watchface is installed on the watch so the first step is to wait a while and make sure that you have a connection to the watch. If it still doesn't work then it could be that your Google Play Services is out of date. Please check the Play Services version in Settings->About->Versions. It should read 10.something. If not your Play Services is out of date. Please make sure that you have the latest Play Services installed. - What voice commands can I use?
Make a post-it note
To make a post-it note you use the voice command 'make a note' and then speaking your note. The note will automatically be put on the watchface as a post-it note.
Set timer
To start a timer you use voice command 'set timer' and then say how long you want the timer for, e.g. '10 minutes' . The Timer app will start automatically and the lower dial on the watchface will change to the timer dial. When the timer has expired this dial will be re-set to the previous complication.
Check heart rate
To check your heart rate you use voice command 'show my heart rate' . The heart rate app will start measuring your heart rate and show it automatically.
Note that you might have to select Ultimate Watch 2 as the default app to handle the above voice commands. This can be done in the Android Wear phone companion app or on the watch itself. If you previously have set some other app to handle the above voice commands you first need to clear this before you can use Ultimate Watch 2 for voice commands.
- How do I access the configuration settings on the watch
Just long press anywhere in the watchface and if you are running Android Wear 2 you will come directly in to the configuration settings.
If you are running Android Wear 1.x then press the gear symbol to go in to the configuration settings.
- I can't see the Tasker tasks in the companion app even though I have Tasker installed
There is a bug in Tasker that external apps can only read Tasker tasks if Tasker has been installed before the external app. If this happens, then please uninstall and then re-install Ultimate Watch and you should be able to see the Tasker tasks.
